# Is there any plans for Selection API?

I’m currious if there is any affort or plan to add Selection api to elm. To explain more, I tried to do two projects in pure elm but I always get stuck on rich text editor, so I started to think that it would by good another project. I found these two mailing lists [rich text editor](https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/elm-discuss/tkKERIh82zw) and [content editable](https://groups.google.com/forum/#!msg/elm-discuss/YKz8rgffoWc/k6WIihXRBAAJ;context-place=forum/elm-discuss) also I found this project that was triing to achieve similiar [think](https://github.com/DavidTobin/elm-editor/blob/master/examples/Demo.elm) but all stuck on selection API.
