# Programming seminar for first year high school students

I have a potential opportunity to give a 45 minute seminar to local high school students interested in programming. The content would be completely up to me and I’m interested in using [http://try.elm-lang.org](http://try.elm-lang.org) (which appears to be down at the moment) since it requires no development environment and it’s easy to get started.
**Has anyone else conducted something like this before? If so, what material did you cover?**
To keep it fun and interactive I think it’s probably best to stick with visual examples but I’m open to any ideas that have worked in the past!
