This project is really awesome! The globe is a cool piece of UI that I haven’t seen implemented before at least not in such a unique but elegant manner. One thing I would suggest you look into is lazily loading photos so that you don’t have the images paint slowly over a second or two as the photo loads. https://css-tricks.com/the-complete-guide-to-lazy-loading-images/ and Is there way to lazy load images are some possible resources to start with. Can’t wait to see how this app evolves, because it’s already really cool!
