Hi, Might be a silly question, but I just want to be sure before I spend the money… I’m looking to buy a new MBP with the M4 Pro chip, and was wondering if anyone out there that has one has come across any issues, predominantly with: Elm Elixir/Erlang VScode Many Thanks

At work I have a MBP M2 Max and at home I have an Air M2 and both have been fine with Elm & VSCode. As for BEAM stuff I’ve done only “hello world” on these 2 machines and it’s been fine, can’t speak to anything production like though.

Thanks. I remember there being some issues with the M1 chip originally, but can’t remember the details of exactly what it was, except that some things wouldn’t run on it. Obviously those issues got resolved by the respective devs eventually. I just don’t want to get bitten by something similar, and…

That’s what I was remembering, but couldn’t remember exactly. Thanks, I’ll crack on and get my new MBP :slight_smile:

There was a brief issue with the elm compiler, but it was quickly fixed
