I was looking at the latest in Popover API and CSS anchor positioning and realized that it’s not terrible if you don’t mind being on the bleeding edge. Partly saving this for myself to easily find later, but figured maybe others would be interested too.
If you wanted to do something like a dropdown menu you could likely remove the JS parts too and just use CSS.
