Thanks! Somehow the settings.json had a missing comma above the elm-format config.

@razze the instructions for plugins for most editors aren’t working. e.g elmjitsu should be linked for Atom, elm-vim can’t find elm make without a workaround. etc. Not so much the guide itself, but the linked plug-ins are pretty much all somewhat dysfunctional apart from intellij.
