Elm and finding your right path, with Evan Czaplicki
It sounds like Evan is now well situated for long term productivity on Elm (with a new lifestyle in Denmark), but he acknowledges the cost to finding his way there.

I found this chat quite interesting, gave me a lot of context that I didn’t have about why Elm slowed down so much in the last 4 years.
I’ve been “Elm hesitant” for two years now.
After listening to Evan’s journey, I’m much more confident in embracing it.
I really enjoyed the garden talk and the insight into his personal affairs near the end and you can just get a feel about how the move to Denmark has really improved his quality of life and most likely the quality in the final output of his work. Really looking forward to the final reveal (It sounds like it’s really soonish).
Now starting to think of Evan as a tortured genius. You know - like Mozart.
But of course I am just joking, I think we are all rooting for him and also confident that whatever he creates will be special.
Beside the fact that I don’t think that Mozart was specially tortured (unlike Beethoven), I feel from the tone of his voice that Evan is kinda depressed. He talks a lot about mental health. Immersing yourself in Nature (like farming) is a well known cure for depression, I wish him the best.
