Got excited about this so I’m doing it now.
Descriptions could probably be better. Evan, you have the ability to edit these. If you decide to do so and edit them substantially, would you mind just changing authorship to your username?
Use this category when you want to show off something you’ve made.
For example:
I have been working on a package that makes it easy to make GitHub API requests!
I created a priority queue data structure based on binary heaps!
Check out this blog post about how I got my coworkers interested in Elm!
Let people know what you have been up to!

Use this category if you trying to figure something out and want to ask a question. This is a great place for beginners, too!
Examples include:
Why are there so many arrows in type annotations?
How would you create and modify a directed graph without mutation?

Use this category when you want to get feedback on ideas, packages, APIs, writing drafts, code snippets, etc.
Example uses include:
I am working on a library for working with the IANA time zone database. What use cases do you have? How does this API work in those cases?
I wrote a bit of code that I’m not satisfied with. Is there a way to model this specific problem better?
The point is that you are actively seeking insights, opinions, information, etc. that can help you with your work.
I also removed the ability to post in “Uncategorized”, which is apparently a topic in it’s own right but gets special treatment.
Edit: forgot to add, I also gave these three of the primary logo colors. We have the dark blue left. It’s easier to see on Categories - Elm
